As President of Alexandria Extrusion Company, I would like to welcome you to our company’s web site. It is an honor and a privilege to have you take a look at who we are. Web sites are a good first impression but I would encourage you to get to know our people. There are many companies with good ideas and good equipment but I would encourage you to get to know our employees because we are "people making a difference". An example of the success achieved when our people work closely with our customers is exemplified by our customers recently receiving the prestigious 2003 MDEA Medical Design Excellence Award®, the 2002 MedTrade Best New Product Innovation Award, and the 2002 MedTrade Best New Product Distinction Award. With our staff of certified aluminum extruders, CNC programmers, and highly skilled machinists (50% are degreed), we have the skills and the tools to serve you best.
I would like to encourage you to take a look at our company’s philosophies as well as our equipment. You will find that they are also second to none. We have been in business since 1966 with our first customer being IBM. Soon after that we started adding value, machining and assembly to our aluminum extrusions. I think you will find that Alexandria Extrusion Company (AEC) has a great depth of knowledge on how to provide solutions to our customers using the extrusion process. Our customers typically see the greatest value in allowing us to be involved early in the process of designing the product. The further we can take their project to completion, the higher our value to our customer. We are a company that is driven by data and we strive for continuous improvement. This is exemplified by some of the tools we use including the Minnesota Council for Quality Award of which we are a two-time winner, which uses the same criteria as the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. We are ISO 9001 registered and we were the first aluminum extruder to register to the 2000 revision of the standard.
